It might be an interesting year for the Gators basketball team...they look to be much improved from last year.

Finally, Florida might be back. The Gators' two-year drought of NCAA appearances after a remarkable two-year run as NCAA champs may be over. Florida had an impressive week with a 16-point win over rival FSU, followed up with a three-point win over No. 2 Michigan State at the Legends Classic in Atlantic City, N.J. The Gators then beat Rutgers rather easily for the championship. That gives Florida victories over the ACC, Big Ten and Big East.
Even The President is pulling for the Gators.

President Obama is busy crafting a new strategy for Afghanistan and writing a speech to accept his Nobel Prize, but he’s apparently not too busy to follow college football.
Obama, it turns out, is rooting for the Gators to beat Alabama this weekend and win their third national title in four years.
“I hope he has some pull,” Urban Meyer joked.
Game time is 4pm EST on Saturday. Let's pack the house at BWW's! Make sure you get there early to get a good seat. The UC vs Pitt game starts at noon so I expect there to be a decent crowd already watching that game.

Standing behind the same podium where quarterback Tim Tebow delivered his now-famous promise 14 months and 21 wins ago, coach Urban Meyer vowed Monday to be at Florida “as long as they’ll have me.”
With rumors swirling about Charlie Weis’ future at Notre Dame, Meyer squashed any potential speculation about leaving Gainesville for South Bend, Ind.
“I’m ready to dispel it,” Meyer said. “I’m going to be the coach at Florida as long as they’ll have me. So I want to make that clear.”
Join us at BWW's - game time is 12:30pm EST. Get there early to get a good seat.

Who's laughing about Richardson now???
Tennessee coach Lane Kiffin now has his full-fledged crisis to deal with after three freshmen were arrested and charged with attempted armed robbery this morning.
Pahokee standout WR Nu'Keese Richardson, DB Janzen Jackson and DB Mike Edwards were charged after attempting to rob two men at a Pilot station in Knoxville.
Each player faces three counts of attempted armed robbery. According to police, at least one of the players was wearing Tennessee gear.
